Spirituality & Practice - Forgiveness: A Growth in Love - 2022
By Mary Dwyer, Contemplative Outreach Thursday, March 03 - Monday, April 11 Forgiveness:
A Growth in Love - 2022
A Lenten E-Course with
Contemplative Outreach
March 3 - April 11

Many people set aside time during Lent (the days between Ash Wednesday and Easter) for special devotions and studies. That's why we are pleased to announce that our partners at Contemplative Outreach have decided to revise and update one of their most popular e-courses for this Lent. "Forgiveness: A Growth in Love" was previously offered in 2008 and 2014, but even if you took it then, you will want to consider participating in this version of the course. It offers even more practice opportunities, as well as rich thematic explorations of many aspects of forgiveness.

"How important forgiveness is can't be exaggerated," Thomas Keating wrote. "One way of putting it is 'to be at peace with everyone.' It also means being prepared to take everyone into your heart, willing to share everyone's pain and joy as if it were your own. . . . This oneness is so close that we are more one than individuals. And so the spiritual journey can never be a privatized set of practices, because whenever you start the spiritual journey, the whole of humanity, and perhaps creation, goes along and shares the journey with you."

During this six-week program, you will have many opportunities to join others in practicing forgiveness. You will receive emails on Mondays and Thursdays with essays, video and audio clips, and mini-practices. You'll be given step-by-step instructions in the contemplative Prayer of Forgiveness and have opportunities to join live Zoom Practice Groups twice a week.
